This is my first time to spend the Spring Festivalabroad.
There is no Spring Festival in the Philippines, somy classmates and I decided to visit Chinatown.
I walked for 35 minutes.
Chinese New Year is a time for family reunion, eating dumplings, setting off firecrackers, wearing new clothes and visitingrelatives.
At 12:00 in the morning, I saw a lot of fireworksaround the balcony, so many Chinese in the Philippines.
Chinatown balloonChinatown is very festive and lively today, especially near the church.
There are a lot of people. Some Filipinos also wearred clothes.
A lot of balloon vendors, Chinese dragon shapedballoons are the most eye-catching.
There was also a dragon and lion dance, which waswatched by many people.
Dragon and lion dances go into large commercialvenues where they can get paid.
Dragon and lion dances symbolize good fortune andprosperity, and large commercial centers are willing to invite them to performin the New Year to boost their popularity.
lionOn the way back, it rained. So I took shelter from the rain. I walked home through the park.
I live on a large balcony overlooking the sunset over manila bay. The setting sun is very beautiful in fine weather.
I wish everyone person good luck and happiness in the new year. I wish my country prosperity and the world peace.
