Greetings from South Florida!

Today is the first day of the Tour de France. This happens once a year. I started to be interested in this sports event since I started to train for triathlon races.
This year the tour started from Belgium. And then it will enter France for the rest of the tour for twenty more days to its finish in Paris.
I have been following this on TV as any cycling fan would have. Over the years, I've learned that this race is a team sport. There are more techniques involved than it appeared. The participants are true athletes that would endure 21 stages of grueling competition before they would survive in Paris.
Consider this: There are 21 stages in the race. Each one is averaged about 120 miles including those mountain stages where they have to climb up about thousands of meters in a day. The race is equivalent to running a marathon every day for three weeks with only two days of breaks in the middle.
As pro athletes, their compensations were very low comparing to most of the other pro sports. The main drivers for these athletes are their passions to the sport, and the passion to win.
Also, I have to tell you about my own experience of riding race bikes. It's a sport that can be addictive for some reason. And you would never have to worry about losing weight.
Anyway, it's the season for this event. The Wimbledon 2019 is in its 3rd round now. Pretty soon the American college football season will start. I'm so looking forward to these. This is the fun part of living for us guys!
Enjoy your weekend! Cheers!
