I decided to write this series of articles on “Why people don’t heal how they can” (borrowing a title from a C. Myss book) because I often get asked about alternative therapies and healing in general, and I felt this could help people see some of the different reasons why they can’t move forward.

A spiritual healing can help you clear and heal the following issues (and many others of course):

False Expections: The first reason why people don't heal

A key factor in healing is the awareness of “what” therapies bring about in general.

Let’s assume for a minute that a person gets up every morning and goes to the well to bring water because that’s his job. Now if that person had a “broken” leg, that task gets very difficult day-in and day-out. With a broken leg, a full or sufficiently filled bucket of water might be difficult to bring back home to, especially if we take into consideration elements such as rain, heat etc. After all, some days it rains and some days are very hot.

The SRT and SPR healings can help each person heal their “broken leg” so to speak, so they can once again do their job more comfortably. This healing doesn’t mean that the elements will seize to exist and that perfect weather should be expected for ever more. Nor does it mean that the well will reposition itself near the person’s house so he/she doesn’t have to travel far to get to the water. It also means that the job (of bringing home the water) will still be required and no miracle will happen that makes water available to us without working somehow.

It is important that we understand the nature of therapies in general and not engage in false expectations as to what these healings are all about.  After all, problems never stop, we just become stronger and better at handling them. We can’t expect to build a house “without problems”, how can we expect to have a “life without problems” just because we had a spiritual clearing.

Impatience. The 2nd reason why people don’t heal

Over the years, it has become quite clear to me that healing, although “spiritual”, should have a way of being measured in a fairly simple way so that everyone can evaluate its process if they wished.

Out of that awareness, I developed and added to the full clearing session the “Aspects of Life” worksheet, where all the negative energy percentages are noted in all the major areas of each person’s life (rates and points vary from person to person). In this way we can understand and compare where each person is at any given time of their life.

I will make a point of how this came about. There were cases when clients called me 2 months after a healing session and said: “you know I didn’t see much difference after my healing. I mean things improved but I am not well yet.” As I measured their current negative energy fields and compared them to their aspects of life two months before, I found out that within two months, there was a 20% total improvement.

Now, if we asked a businessman how it sounds to have a 20% improvement in his business in just two months, he would probably be very pleased. But people, even though it took them years to arrive at their current state, which is nothing more than consequences to their actions and beliefs, they expect instant or immediate changes.

One of the finest elements of SRT healings in my opinion is its elegance. Changes often come about in a sweet and painless way, although I have seen instant improvements in some cases. This means that as the changes take place, we have the time to contemplate and understand the process of how we got there in the first place and make the appropriate changes to our behavior as the need arises.

Laziness: The 3rd reason why people don’t heal

Along with the clearing session that I often describe as “a complete renovation of the old and inherited house we call soul”, it also become apparent to me that the direction of where a person needs to go to improve their life was immensely essential.

I make a point to suggest books or other actions that are considered relevant by High Self for that person’s self-improvement. These directions are important in their way they enhance the healing that took place, by gaining awareness on a conscious level and therefore shift to more appropriate beliefs and habits that will preserve this “soul renovation”. I often find regretfully that people who see smaller improvements in their life are invariably those that chose not to follow the “improvement instructions” indicated by High Self.

Now, theoretically we know we can’t have different results while doing the same thing over and over again. If a boat sailed from Piraeus on route to Cairo and changed its course by 1-2 degrees, it would not reach the original destination, it will definitely end up somewhere else. Most of the time, minor changes like reading a book, though they might seem insignificant to us, can bring about great changes in the overall course of our healing process (actually books can be decisive at times).

Let us take initiative and do the necessary steps for our self-improvement instead of waiting for the universe to “conspire” on our behalf.
