第91期 Dream 14/04/20

Hello everyone, today I do n’t wanna chit chat and use useless rhetoric. I am going to go straight forward, to talk about my dream.

When I was young, my dream was to become a pilot. Partly and mainly because I was fancy about aeronautical engineering. I still remember that the happiest part of my time, for always, was taking a plane. Once we were planning to go to Disneyland, and it was miles away, so taking the plane was our only choice. When they mysteriously announced this holy gracious decision to me and my brother, our reaction was exactly the same, but for different reasons. Brother cheered because of Disneyland, whereas I cheered because of the plane (especially when the plane was Boeing777-300ER). Whatever, I think that incident is enough to inscribe how much I love planes during my childhood.

However, even though I still love planes, and aeronautical engineering, being a pilot is no longer a dream for me. WHY? Because as I grew up, and being more mature all the time, Physics came into my view, and I did ' t let it escape. I am loving Physics right now, but of course in conservation of a hobby. From the basic Newton's Law of kinematics to the nuclear reaction, I eagerly wanna find out how the scientists use their tool-maths and logics to explore the abstract unknown phenomenon.  The excitement of taking planes has become the excitement of learning Physics, which furthermore changed my dream-I want to become a physicist.

It may sound ridiculous, but It IS actually. I am personally not very good at maths, you can’t even say I am “good” at maths. However, I am still striving hard to the best of my ability and trying to get myself to another higher level. The university in my dream is Caltech, which is really in my “dream”. The only way to make my dream come true is to wake up, get rid of all my obstacles by working extra-hard, harder than anyone so I can have the slightest chance to realize my dream. But even the slightest chance is worth trying.

For Physics, for Caltech, “hold my beer” (“拿着我的啤酒”国外的一个梗, 在这里是“我要发力了” 的意思)!
