By closing the last page of this book, Shoe Dog, I ultimately get rid of the unwillingness to put it away when I had to get out of the metro, go to work, or close my eyes and fall asleep. It is an autobiography written by Phil Knights, the co-founder of the famous sports brand Nike, which tells a lot of stories how the idea of importing Japanese shoes to the America, how Nike was founded, problems the company faced and the author experienced, and how they solved all those and thrived.
It's based on true stories. I like the attitude the author had. He got early than everyone in the morning. He had his struggling moments now and then. Everyone could meet tough time in our life. He told us never stop. Never stop until you finally get there. Don't ask where "there" is, just don't stop. I guess this is the attitude helped him become successful. It's him who built Nike's solid foundation and made it become a great company.
I was up before the others, before the birds, before the sun. I drank a cup of coffee, wolfed down a piece of toast, put on my shorts and sweatshirt, and laced up my green running shoes. Then slipped quietly out the back door.
Don't give much thought to where "there" is. Whatever comes, just don't stop.
