参考译文：法官對那人再三（提出）警告，不得再犯，然後就將他釋放了。
这里是用了helper word“再三”。
再看一个例句：
He made sincere apologies to each of the teachers.
同样，这里的 "apologies"，很多道歉？如果这里只是向一位老师道谢（歉），还可以说“连声道谢（致歉）”，但这里 "teachers" 也是复数形式。他向老师们道了很多歉？
参考译文：他向每位老師一 一道歉，態度很誠懇。
再如：
to have all the right documents
文件 / 證件齊全 / 齊備
The waves rose and fell.
海浪此起彼伏。
His worries are unnecessary.
他没有必要这样顾虑重重。
英文中不同的时态如何翻译才好呢？
I hated Grandfather for what he was doing to us. I hate him for what he has done to us still.
version 1：我恨「國父」對我們所做的一切，不管過去還是現在。
这个译文把原文中的“过去” (hated) 和“现在” (hate) 这两种时态直接用中文说了出来。意思是对的，但原文的情感表达不充分。
version 2: 從前我恨「國父」對我們所做的一切，現在依然恨他對我們所做過的一切。
这个版本明显要更好些。
此外，英文喜用名词，中文喜用动词。如：
