Each prayer accepted, and each wish resigned;          祈祷每每如愿，俗念每每淡忘

   

Labour and rest, that equal periods keep;                    日复一日，日出而作，年复一年，日落而息

“Obedient slumbers that can wake and weep,”            梦见伊人，时醒思念而咽

Desires compos'd, affections ever ev'n,                        情感翻滚，欲海永无波澜

Tears that delight, and sighs that waft to Heav'n.          愿把眼中的泪花，叹作满天星辰，换你红颜一笑

   

Grace shines around her with serenest beams,            蒙主宠惠，使她萦绕在圣光里       

And whisp'ring angels prompt her golden dreams.        天使悄悄地送她到金色梦乡中

For her th' unfading rose of Eden blooms,                    伊甸园的玫瑰花永不惨败只为她而绽放

And wings of seraphs shed divine perfumes,                六翼天使翔游世间只为她暗香浮动

For her the Spouse prepares the bridal ring,                圣主宠爱她，为她预置新娘戒指

For her white virgins hymeneals sing,                          天使爱慕她，为她吟诵圣明洁曲

To sounds of heav'nly harps she dies away,                  天国里的竖琴为她归家奏歌

And melts in visions of eternal day.                              使她淋浴在那永恒不灭的阳光里。
