Z196,an expressing train connecting Shanxi province with Shanghai,is an amazing place where you can hear both Shanghai dialect and various Shanxi accents. For those travellers from either place, what the people from the other side is saying is no more than a totally foreign language, hard to grasp. But it's not the case for to me because I was born in Shanxi but live in Shanghai and I have been shuttling between the two ends for over 10 years, thus be able to understand whatever they are talking.
The south and north of China are extremely different whether in climate or geography, north always dry but south normally moist regardless the season. Shanghai is quite flat while my hometown is a basin sorrounded by Hengshan Moutain and Wutai Moutain.

But what makes me embarrassed is that my language has been influenced by both cultures unconsciously, which makes it hard to meet the standard of either part.
To be honest, Shanxi is a province rich in tourism resources which somehow haven't well developed. I took the following pictures during my stay in my hometown.
