持而盈之， 不如其己；锥而锐之， 不可常保。
One should stop in due time, rather than fill it to the brim. When a point is whittled too sharp, it’s sharpness cannot remain too long.
做人做事，适可而止；不应该太过，凡事都需留几分余地,。这和一个太尖的笔头不可能一直尖锐下去是一样的道理。
金玉满堂，莫之能守。
When a hall is full of gold and jade, nobody can keep them long。
正如一个堆满金银珠宝的房子，长期守候和保全它将会是很困难的一件事情。
富贵而骄，自遗其咎。
When a man of wealth and rank is arrogant, he is looking for a calamity upon himself.
一个功成名就后的人如果太过矫淫跋扈，灾难也就会离它不远了！
功成身退，天之道也！
When one secedes and subsequently retires, he follow the true way of Heaven.
功德圆满后懂得隐退，真正得道人之所为！
