精力管理需要务实的评估

    Athletes turned out to be a demanding experimental group. They aren't satisfied with inspirational messages or clever theories about performance. They seekmeasurable, enduring results. They care about batting averages, free-throw percentages, tournament victories and year-end rankings. They want to be able tosink the putt on the eighteenth hole in the final round, hit the free throw when the game is on the line, catch the pass in a crowd with a minute to go on the clock.Anything else is just talk. If we couldn’t deliver results for athletes, we didn’t last very long in their lives. We learned to be accountable to the numbers.

    运动员成为了有刚需的实验小组。他们可不会满足于激励的信息或则提高表现的聪明理论,他们寻求的是可测量并能持续的结果。他们关心的是击球率、罚球命中率、比赛的胜利和年底的排名。他们希望在最后一轮能够打出一杆18个洞,击中罚球、在最后一分钟夺球进栏。其它的事情都是虚的。若是我们不能给运动员提供这些结果,他们就马上换人,我们必须对数字(业绩)负责!


    我的思考My Thinking

    在我心中,运动员是一群专注、不拘小节、行动力强的人。他们非常的务实,不会沉迷于外界的虚无缥缈的赞美,也不在乎看起来高大上的理论,他们只在乎最重要的:成绩!在竞争激烈的比赛中,成绩这是很容易看出来的,反馈也非常及时!
    In my opinion, athletes are a group of specialized people who are focused, not niggling & actionable. They are practical, not addicted to the external compliments nor the clear new theories and they only cares the results! Results are very clear for fierce competitions and the feedback is instant with scores.

    反观大部分人就没有这么务实了,很多人沉迷于别人的赞美中,这是危险的:
    1.赞美是比别人提供的,并不能保证随时随地有,况且很多人喜欢冷嘲热讽,收到打击的可能性比收到鼓励的可能性还小,把自己的好心情寄托别人,是非常傻的。
    2.赞美通常是有拔高的成分,脱离了实际情况,我们应该学学专业的运动员,有清晰的考核业绩的指标,最好是数字形式,这样结果很容易判断和区分。

    In contrast, mots peoples are so practical and cares the praises and even flattery, which is very dangerous:

    1. the compliments come from others and not guaranteed. In addition, many people tends be cynical, so criticism comes more than compliments in the end. It's stupid relying on others to bring us good moods.
    2. Compliments are often a bit flattery, not realistic. We should learn from the specialized athletes, who have clear KPIs in numbers from which we can clearly see good or not.
    测量Mesure

    这让我想起来我们践行营的积分卡的推行和使用情况,积分卡前期推行显得缓慢,我分析了一下原因:
    1.积分卡是从无到有的新事物,设计的目的是为了有效地记录自己成长情况,推行的过程首先需要认知的升级,这是很难的;
    2.定期记录本质上是一种习惯,习惯的养成并未易事,江山易改本性难移,想走出舒适区需要行动;
    3.积分卡把进步用这种非常可视化的数字形式显示出来,这会给很多人带来不适的!很多人喜欢使用模糊的词语,比如“好像”、“可能“、”差不多“等,这些词容易遮蔽真实的情况,若是想要真的进步,还是建议用看起来冷冰冰的数字!这些运动员们就是优秀的榜样,他们需要的是名次,是成绩!
    Furtherly, this reminds me of our Just Do It Camp‘s introducing Scoring system. The adaptation is slow and analyze as:1.Scoring system is new and designed to record the progress we make, but required cognitive update before accepting and this is challenging.2.Regular record is a good habit in essence which is not easy to culture. Old habits die hard! Moving out of comfort zone calls for actions!3.Scoring visualize the process we make in numbers which resulting discomfort. Many people like vague wording, like similar, possible, almost etc, which can blocks the truth If you really want to grow, use numbers. These athletes are our examples and they cares ranking and results!
