君子不器？何谓君子不器，站于少数人立场而不愿随波

Greek philosophy leaped on to heights unreached again, while Greek science limped behind. Our mordern danger is precisely oppsite; inductive data fall upon us from all sites, like the lava of Versuvius; we suffocate with uncoordinate facts; our minds are overwhelmed with sciences breeding and multiplying into specialistic chaos for want of synthesitc thought and a unifying philosophy.

We are all mere framents of what a man might be.

摘自威尔杜兰特所写的哲学的故事，90年代所写，我却看见了活生生的当今世界的现状，不可不说杜兰特的预见性。

有人总想着穿越，回唐朝做一诗人，回古希腊做一哲学家，其实不然，君子不器，与其做一哲学家，不如在那时候当个科学家，就如同现在这个社会这么缺少哲学家一样。
