Sheldon老妈Mary来访，Sheldon想要旅途劳顿的她给自己做炸鸡，Leonard提议出去吃寿司，于是没吃到炸鸡的Sheldon耿耿于怀。回家后老妈忙着解决Raj的心理问题而没给他做核桃派，Sheldon更郁闷。
第二天Sheldon准备带老妈去听诺贝尔奖获得者的讲座，老妈不感兴趣，反而接受了Leonard他们带她去逛的计划，并且一力主张他们在教堂祷告。
Sheldon听完讲座后又坐在公交车站等车，淋雨感冒了，终于赢得了老妈的全部关爱，给他唱Soft Kitty……
