Maternal grandparents and patern

Maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents are the parents of your mother and father, respectively.

Maternal grandparents

Maternal grandparents are your mother's parents. Your mother's mother is called your maternal grandmother, and her father is your maternal grandfather. In informal and conversational settings, many people use "mom's parents" to refer to their maternal grandparents.

Paternal grandparents

Paternal grandparents are your father's parents. Your father's mother is called your paternal grandmother, and his father is your paternal grandfather. In informal and conversational settings, many people use "dad's parents" to refer to their maternal grandparents.
