跟大家介绍两个比较常用到的和 clock 有关的表达。

1、around the clock 的意思是“全天候，昼夜不断的”。字面意思是围着闹钟转，不停休，也就是全天候、昼夜不断了。

下面来举个例子：

Kim has beenworking round the clockto finish it in time.

基姆为了按时完成在夜以继日地工作。

2、against the clock 的意思是“抢时间，争分夺秒”。和时间对着干，与时间赛跑便是争分夺秒了。比如说：

Everyone isracing against the clockto get things ready in time.

为了按时完成工作，人人都在和时间赛跑。
