Why did the US enter World War One? In my opinion, the aid from America to the Triple Entente is one of them. When the war began, America immediately declared itself neutral, but it was supporting the Triple Entente by selling war materials. This made Germany doubted about the position of the United States, which later led to many conflicts.
Secondly, the sank of the Lusitania is one of the fuses which caused the declaration of war between the US and Germany. In May 1915, 128 Americans died on Lusitania, a British ship, which was sunk by German U-boats, further swayed US opinion on against the Germans.
Thirdly, the incident of the Black Tom also made the US mad. On July 30th, 1916 in Manhattan, two tons of war materials packed on a train had blown up in the Black Tom railroad yard. This incident killed three men and a baby immediately and thousands of windows shattered in lower Manhattan and Jersey City. The responsibility of this 'accident' was soon blamed on German agents which pissed lots of Americans off.
Overall, the most important reason which made the US entered the European war is the Zimmerman telegram. In January 1917, Germany sent Mexico a telegram promising the regress of the land in the US if they support Germany's war effort. Unfortunately, this telegram was intercepted by the British and immediately forwarded to the US. This information threatened homeland security of the US so President Wilson later declared war on Germany.
