核心是“诚”吧:
If you believe in authentic leadership, as I do, you know that I can’t tell you how to manage and lead in a style that is true to your preferences and behaviors. You will have your own set of principles. Nevertheless, I believe that this short list is a strong foundation. It applies to all styles of leadership and is critical to effective management.
题眼是authentic leadership:
All these principles are about one thing: building trust.
If you’re not self-aware, how can others trust your feedback about their own abilities and behaviors?
If you’re not direct with your opinions and judgments, how will people know where they stand and trust that you have their interests in mind?
If you’re not clear on whether you’re managing to a defined goal or charting an entirely new vision as you build a company, how will your team trust that you’re leading them to success?
And if you don’t maintain a foundation of consistency and stability, how will those around you know what to expect?

所谓诚其意者,毋自欺也。如恶恶臭,如好好色,此之谓自谦。故君子必慎其独也。小人闲居为不善,无所不至,见君子而后厌然,拚其不善,而著其善。人之视己, 如见其肝肺然,则何益矣。此谓诚于中形于外。故君子必慎其独也。
