I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish. ----Romans1:14
Paul was so overwhelmed with the feeling that he owed a debt to Jesus Christ that he would exhaust himself to pay it. The greatest revelation about Paul’s life is that he saw Christ as his spiritual creditor. Do I feel I owe Christ due to everyone who has not yet been saved? As a saint, the spiritual honor of my life lies in paying my debt to Christ.
Every bit of value in my life is due to the salvation work of the Lord Jesus. Have I done anything to make his great work manifest in others? It is only when the holy spirit is in me that I feel this sense of indebtedness. It is only that I can do this work when the holy spirit in me and make me feel this sense of indebtedness. I am not a supernatural being among men, but a slave of the Lord Jesus. “You are not your own people.” Paul sold himself to Jesus Christ. He said, “I am indebted to the world due to the Gospel of Jesus; my only freedom is to be a perfect slave.” Once one experience this spiritual honor, life has this quality. Stop pray for yourself and become a slave of Jesus Christ, burning yourself for others. This is what is means to make bread broken and wine poured out.
Dear God, may you touch my spirit, soul and body again. If my food and drink hinder your work in me, or your works through me, shew me, and keep me thin, that I may eat or drink, or do anything, that I may glorify you. 萍
