So Jesus asked the twelve, "Do you also wish to go away?"---- John6:67
What penetrating the question is! The most deeply rooted words of the Lord are often the simplest. Thought we know who Jesus is, he still asked: “Do you also wish to go away?” We must have a aggressive attitude for the Lord.
“Because of this, many of his disciples turned back and no longer went about with him. “—John6:66
When they turn from walking with God, not to go back to sin, but to return to be original, they were their old self. Now many people are working hard for the Lord, but they are not with God. What God wants us to hold on to is our union with Jesus Christ. After the sanctification, the spiritual exercises follow this direction. If God clearly reveals his mind in our heart, we don’t use any particular way to maintain a relationship with God, just living naturally and completely depending on Jesus Christ. None other way lives with God except relying on God’s way. The way is to love God with the absolute devotion. I know that I know nothing—that is the secret of walking with the Lord. Peter saw only that Jesus was his savior, the savior of the world, but the Lord wants us yoking with him. In verse 70, Jesus answered Peter’s question and filled a gap in his thinking, but we can’t answer for people.
Dear God, for Christ living in my mind, how short of nourishment I give is. The Lord, forgive me. let me feel your forgiveness, so deeply that not only I rejoice in your salvation, but let my spirit filling the work here.
