社交场合，当你偶遇某位话痨对你喋喋不休时，其实略施小计就可以巧妙脱身，且不需要直接打断对方而令其太难堪哦。

on purpose 故意；故意的

故意的，就是有意为之。但是我们可以选择比较善意的一面。

譬如，以下对话中Jill给Tina的建议：

Jill: Hey, Tina, hurry up. The movie is about to begin.

Jill：嘿，蒂娜, 你可快点吧。电影马上就要开始啦。

Tina: I just met Mrs. Walt in the hall. She took me by the hand and talked to me for ten minutes.

Tina: 我刚才在大厅遇到瓦特太太了。她拉着我的手和我聊了有十分钟呢。

Jill: She can talk to people for hours if no one interrupts her.

Next time you meet her, try to drop something on purpose, such as your bag or a pen to stop her from talking.

Then you can take over the conversation or just end it.

Jill: 要是没人（主动）打断她，她可是能聊上几个小时不断线的哦。

你（若）下一次再遇到她，可以故意弄掉某件物品在地上，像是你的包包或是笔啊什么的，如此就可以借机中断她说话。

这样，你就可以接过话头或直接结束对话了。
