Lesson 6: Is your dog?

A: Is this your dog?
B: Yes, it is. Why?
A: Well, your dog chases my cat. 
B: Oh, I'm sorry. 
A: Please keep your dog on a leash.
B: Yes, ma'am.

A: 这是你的狗吗？

Note:
1: chase 美 /tʃeɪs/ vi. 追逐；追赶；奔跑
2: leash 美 /liːʃ/  n. 皮带；束缚，链条（拴狗的）
3: keep 保持（一种状态）
4: well, 语气词，嗯...是这样的。

Lesson 7: Tony and Tina.

Tony and Tina are very different. Tony likes music. Tina doesn't. Tony is an athlete. Tina isn't.
On the other hand, Tina likes movies, but Tony doesn't. She is a good student, but he isn't. Tony and Tina are brother and sister, but are they alike? No, they aren't. They are very different.

托尼和蒂娜非常不同。托尼喜欢音乐，蒂娜却不喜欢。托尼是个运动员，蒂娜则不是。
另一方面，蒂娜喜欢电影，但托尼不喜欢。她是好学生，但他却不是。
托尼和蒂娜是兄妹，但他们相似吗？不，他们不相似。他们大不相同。

Note:
1: alike 相像的 不可置于名词前和主语必须是复数。 John and Peter are alike in many ways. 约翰和彼得在许多方面很相似。
2: on the other hand. 是介词短语.表示另一方面来说或话又说回来。有副词的功能，通常至于句首，修饰整个句子。 He is a poor at English. On the other hand, She speaks French very well. 他英文很差，但话又说回来，他法语讲得很好。

Lesson 8: Do you speak Spanish?

A: Do you speak Spanish?
B: No, I don't.
A: Does he speak Spanish?
B: Yes, he does.
A: Is he from Spain?
B: No, he isn't. He is from Mexico.

A: 你会说西班牙语吗？
B: 不我不会。
A: 他会说西班牙语吗？
B: 是的，他会。
A: 他是西班牙人吗？
B: 不，他不是。他是墨西哥人。

Lesson 9: A busy family.

It's a busy day at the Wangs' house. Mr. Wang is fixing his bike. Mrs. Wang is writing a letter. Tina is reading a book. Tony is exciting.
Even the dog is busy. It's chasing a cat. The cat is running for its life.
The Wangs are busy, but they are having fun.

王家今天很忙，王先生在修他的自行车，王太太在写信。蒂娜在看书，托尼在运动。
甚至狗狗也很忙碌，他在追一只猫，猫在逃命。
王氏一家人很忙，但他们都很愉快。

Note:
1: busy 忙碌的。I am busy with my work 我忙着工作。
2: what time is it by watch? by 根据
3: at 在...之处 后接宾语。多为表示house，station，post office，grocery store等建筑物的名词。

Lesson 10:  What are you doing?

Betty and Bob are talking on the telephone.
Betty: Hi, Bob. What are you doing?
Bob: I'm watching TV. How about you? 
Betty: I'm doing my homework.
Bob: You're a good student, Betty.

贝蒂和鲍勃在讲电话。
贝蒂：嗨，鲍勃。你在做什么？
鲍勃：我在看电视，你呢？
贝蒂：我在做功课。
鲍勃：贝蒂，你是个好学生。
