You wrote "There are more traffic congestion", but what you should have said is "There is more traffic congestion", because the noun to follow is singular, the word "is" is required. Remember use "are" when referring to plural, and "is" when referring to singular. You also wrote "almost satisfy all the needs", but what you should have said is "almost satisfies all the needs", because because there is more than one need.
Nowadays, big-box stores are getting their ways to thrust into communities all around the world, which brings a strong impact to our lives on all levels. A big-box store, such as Wal-Mart, starts as a supermarket, then expands it services which almostsatisfyall the needs of local residents, orattractother small service providers to center around it, and finally make a local shopping and business center. Although there are both pros and cons, proponents and opponents, arguments and disputes associated with it, the trend as superstores jostle into our communities has been lasting about 20 years. I have heard the arguments that superstores practice substandard labor practices and create primarily low-wage jobs and provide few if any social or health benefits to their workers. I have also heard that these giant stores could possibly bankrupt existing smaller businesses that are unable to compete with them. I think this to be true. It will destroy the conventions of our community and change our way of living together. I have noticed the impact these big-box stores have on our environment. Thereismore traffic congestion, pollution and overdependence on cars and superhighways. Big-box stores in our area change our lives drastically and not everyone ascertains or assures that it is for the better. On the other hand, these stores improve the lives of many citizens to some extent. Big-box stores provide consumers with convenient, one-stop shopping at low prices and apparently boost the local economy by revitalizing low-income neighborhoods. If a community is already in economic trouble, with few jobs available and people struggling, saying'no'to a superstore doesn't seem to make any sense at all. Isn't a low-wage job better than no job at all? And, if a community is struggling, wouldn't the lower prices that a superstore can offer help those most in need? Superstores are not theonce for allanswers forevery community. They make or reform communities wherever they stay. Comparing to traditional business model, superstores are concentrated businesses which reduce overheads involved, thus they can attract customers with lower sales prices. Further, for their own convenience, people love the idea “one stop for all we need.” Before the debating over superstores for a community concludes, there come online giants, comparing to which, a brick-and-motor superstore looks like a small grocery struggling for survival. Same as industrial revolution and info-tech revolution that benefited someone who went with it, and negatively impacted upon those who frowned at it,Big-box stores andnowonline super-superstores are steps of never-stopping progress of human being. No matter whether you are proponents or opponents, it’s your needs and your demands that make the trend and push mankind forward.
