We went spring outing. A wind picked up. The air was fresh. Tiny bright flowers were blooming among thick clumps. Pale green grasses were rippling. New leaves were uncurling on the branches and twigs. The wind blew some willow branches green.
Birds were twittering and chirping among branches. A robin called out in high spirit, a harbinger of early spring. Snow was melting and frost was thawing. A stream was gushing among rocks.
Swallows hovered in midair. A flock of magpies flew over the field.
Firs and pines bordered the path. A red squirrel was scampering and playing about on the trees, holding a chestnut in her paws. She had reddish fur and bushy tail. And she looked at us with large, clear eyes.
A woodpecker was drumming its beak on a tree trunk, looking for insects.
We played games in a glade. Rabbits were hopping in the woods. And several rabbits were playing games together among stumps.
At lunch time, we spread cloth on a lawn. Poplar leaves were clapping overhead, and sunrays were flickering among interweaving leaves. We ate bread, sausages and vegetables. In a basket, we laid apples and peaches.
The boys climbed onto a tree and looked into the distance.
Some boys picked some elm flowers from a great elm tree. The teacher said she could cook good food with the elm flowers. She washed all the flowers and blended flour among the flowers. Then she steamed the mixture. The next day, we had elm flower buns.
