这是一篇我从自己博客里截来的文章。Quizlet是美国很流行的一个教育网站，有安卓和IOS的app支持。不知道国内可不可以打开，或者有没有类似的网站。这里分享下，希望更多的对外汉语教师，可以在自己的课堂里使用。我知道第一年的海外教学生活真的是每天拼了命也只活当天，至少我自己当时没有时间也没有心境去静下来研究这个。但希望我的使用经历可以帮到你，慢慢地去探索。

How to use Quizlet in Chinese classroom?

I believe that many teachers have heard about Quizlet. There are tons of tutorials available online. You can also go toquizlet.comto get more information. After using it for a week in my middle school language classes (6th,7th and 8th grades), I'd like to share my thoughts and experiences.
Why I use Quizlet?
A: Students nowadays are born in this technology era. They love learning online with iPads or other equipment instead of sitting there listening to teachers all the time.
B: Students are different types of learners, mainlyauditory (hear) , visual (see), and kinesthetic (touch). Most people learn best through the combination of the three types of learning styles. Quizlet surprised me with the flash cards with pictures. Students can touch, hear and see that the same time. This meets all needs.
C. Students are competitive. They want to compete with their classmates. The Match works very good for them. My students love to challenge me and when they beated me in the Match. They were thrilled!
2. How to use Quizlet in your classroom?
Quizlet has articles to help you firgire it out, how to creat your set, how to creat your classes and how to let your students to join your classes. This is the link to all these questions:https://quizlet.com/help/how-can-teachers-use-quizlet
However, in a real classroom scenario, it can be difficult.
The truth is Some students got bored soon---my 8th graders. 7th graders did a great job while some 6th graders went directly to games. Ah...That's not what I want! After 2 classes, I found out i need to do something to make this great online app work. Here are some tips for teachers.
1.Parents' permission: Email parents if they're willing to let their students use Quizlet.
2.Email addressis required to register the account: Students can use their own emails; parents emails or they can use teacher's email. One teacher email can register for as many accounts as you want.
3.Be aware of naughty nicknames: Quizlet doesn't want kids to use their real names.Here you need to set up rules. Make sure they use the names you can recognize who is whom.
4.Timerneeded for practice: I normally give my students 15 minutes at most to practice. It won't be effective if kids stay on their for a long time.
5.By:Here means teacher need to walk around and make sure they stay on task. Some kids will wander from this set to another instead of focusing the THE one.
6.A real quiz:If there is a goal, learning can be more productive. I suggest teachers give them a quiz afterwards. You can print out different quiz from Quizlet. However, if you want to take it easy, you can use a very good tool called "Kahoot it !" to help you. Make sure you let kids know there will be a small "quiz" afterwards.
