After the family had a quick meal, Shaoping put up a can of sorghum and black bean money porridge. She loved her son-in-law, and in the bowl above the rice jar, put some black noodles and chopsticks and pickled cabbage left over in the morning.

Shaoping immediately lifted the pot, carried a small bundle of bedding and rolled out of the door, went to the village primary school to give these things to his brother-in-law in distress. He rolled a little grain in a roll to get it easily.

He went out of the yard, down a small slope and onto the road. The moon has risen from the side of the Immortal Mountains and the Miaoping mountains, faintly illuminating the vague villages and the earth.

Shaoping's family is in the southernmost village head, exclusive, and has no connection with other families in the village.

After a short walk, it is Tianjialao, a mountain nest, earth kiln and stone kiln, door to door; high and low, cascade. Shuangshui village Tian family name mostly lives here, so it is called Tian Jialao. Sun Yuting, his second father, also lives here, not far from Tian Futang's home, the Secretary of the brigade. Originally, they also lived here and moved when he was two years old. It was 1960, and it was a difficult time. The second father of a worker in Taiyuan Steel Works in Shanxi suddenly quit and ran home to ask his brother to marry him a daughter-in-law. After his second father married his second mother, living became a problem first. The old man left a cave in his hand, and his father had to give it to his second father, who lived in it. The whole family lived in a cave of the Jinbo family across the river for several years. Later, my father just took a look at the kiln where he lives and relocated.

In the old society, most of the people with the surname of Tian in Tianjialao were poor people in the village. Later, a small number of miscellaneous surnames from outside villages mostly lived in this area. Nowadays, apart from the courtyards of Tian Futang's family, most of them are still ruined courtyards with collapsed walls. Although the new society has lasted for more than twenty years, ordinary villagers are afraid to even think about building houses in hoop kilns.

On the opposite side of Tianjiawei, from the gully between Miaoping Mountain and Shenxianshan Mountain, a small river, as thin as hemp rope, joins the Dongla River in the gully. Where the two rivers meet, they form a small delta. On the delta's delta, there is a Dragon King Temple built in an unknown period of time. The temple has now become a ruined courtyard, with the exception of an overwhelming number of staggered stages. Primary schools in the village were there before they were totally destroyed, and they were also a place for public gatherings throughout the village. Later, a new elementary school was built. Apart from a few days of Yangko performances during the Spring Festival, this place is useless in peacetime. Now any Congress held in the village has also been moved to the newly-built small college. Because there is a temple in this place, this delta is called Miaoping.

Miaoping can be said to be a scenic spot of Shuangshui Village because there is a dense jujube forest on this turf. This jujube tree used to belong to some families surnamed Jin, and became the property of the whole village after its co-operation. Every summer, here will be a lovely emerald green. Around the fifteenth day of August in the ancient calendar, the dates were all red. Black branches, red dates, yellow and green leaves, colorful and charming. Whenever the date is played, in four or five days, it can be said to be the most grand festival in Shuangshui Village. In the meantime, all the people in the village can go to play jujube, and all the people who play jujube can open their bellies to eat. In this remote area, there is nothing rare to eat. Red dates are as precious as agate. That season, how many people's appetite can be broken ah! Some people often have diarrhea for more than ten days after the date is beaten.

Behind the jujube forest in Miaoping is Miaoping Mountain. This mountain is higher than the other mountains around the village, so the Golden Chicken is independent, giving a special impressive feeling. Over the past few years, Dazhai Agricultural University has made every effort to build terraces on this mountain. Now the terraced fields have reached the top of the hill layer by layer. It looks like a huge and incomparable roll of steamed buns in the distance. This mountain, this temple, this jujube forest, and the meeting of two rivers in front of the temple add a lot of scenery to Shuangshui Village.

Down the Tianjiawei highway, across the Dongla River, across a path in the delta jujube forest, is the Crying Yan River, where the Dongla River meets in front of the temple. Although the river is small, it has an extraordinary history. Legend has it that there was no water in this ditch in ancient times. At that time, a daughter of the Jade Emperor came here and fell in love with a descendant surnamed Jin. She even postponed the date of her return to heaven. Later, the Jade Emperor was furious and ordered her to go to heaven immediately. If she did not come up in two days, he would turn the daughter into an earthen mountain on the spot. But fairies can not give up human love and disobey their fathers. She swears that she will stay with her lover even if she turns into earth. Two days later, she became an ordinary loess mountain. Her lover in the world was so sad that she knelt and sobbed under the earth mountain she had transformed day by day until she died at the foot of the mountain. Legend has it that his tears flowed into the river. People call the earth mountain that the fairy has turned into a fairy mountain, and call the river that the tear has turned into a weeping river.

This is, of course, a myth invented by the Jin family's ancestors to glorify their families. Because of this, the ancestral Tomb of the Jin family was buried under the immortal hill on the North Bank of the crying river. The graveyard had no idea how many generations of people surnamed Jin had been buried, and it was densely packed. I don't know which generation has planted some cypress trees on the graveyard. Now they are as strong as barrels. In winter, when the earth is desolate, far and near, only those cypress trees are green, especially eye-catching.

Because of the Dongla River and the Crying Yan River, the village was named Shuangshui Village.

On the crying river, there is a bridge that can be crossed in a few steps. The oldest person in the village now has no idea what year the bridge was built. It crashes year by year, but it exists year by year.

Crossing the Xiaoyan River, the bridge is Jinjiawan. Except for a few miscellaneous surnames, most of them live in Jin family. In a bay of Yangwan, families live densely and are quite crowded. There are only two other families, named Jin, in the back mouths of the Jinjiazu Tomb: one is Brother Jin Junwu, the second captain, and the other is Brother Jin Guangliang, the landlord.

In ancient times, in the old society, the Jin family was always the dominant village of Shuangshui. This land and everything on it belong to the Jin family. It is said that in the Song and Ming dynasties, the Jin family had been landlords of several famous Zhenzhou prefectures, presumably the land they occupied at that time was far beyond the scope of Shuangshui Village. But it is said that at the end of the Ming Dynasty, Hu people in Ordos, Mongolia, invaded the area on a large scale, killed and robbed the landlord, and basically kicked out the family business, but they never developed again. By the time of the land reform, apart from one landlord and two rich peasants, some of them were middle peasants, and most of them were still poor middle peasants.

But in terms of accommodation, the caves in Jinjiawan area are obviously stronger than those in Tianjiawei area. Although it now seems that most of them are collapsed walls and ruined courtyards, there are always some old courtyard gates and courtyard walls with decayed Pueraria needles that show signs of the past. And many people's earth caves are pressed by Shikou. Some people's doors and windows of a long time ago are black and old, but when you look at them carefully, you can see that the original workmanship was fine, and there are also carved patterns, indicating that the door once had a period of prominence.

Between the Jinjiawan cottage and the cemetery of Changbaishu, not far from the Crying Yan River Bridge, there is a small turf where Shuangshui Village Primary School is located. The seven or eight holes of the big stone kiln in this school are all classrooms, the highest of which is the fifth grade. The children who finish the fifth grade will go to the junior high school on the Shiwei Festival. After school in the afternoon, the school is often empty - teachers and students'homes are in the village. The school yard is very large, planting a pair of very non-standard basketball racks built by villagers. The students are young, mainly the young people in the village come back from work to play for a while. As has been said before, this place has now replaced the temple and become the center of the village people's gathering.

Since the Shiwei Festival Commune launched the Agricultural Infrastructure Congress in Shuangshui Village, the school classroom has become the night accommodation for migrant workers in other villages. Of course, only a small number of people live in this place, most of the migrant workers scattered in the village's leisure kilns. Migrant workers living in school classrooms have to roll up their bedding the next morning and concentrate in a cave with sports equipment on the side so that students can attend classes during the day. In the evening, the migrant workers put together their desks and became beds.

These days, the school has also made a special hole in the cave, so that the villages to pull "reeducation-through-labour" people live. Today there is another new member in the cave: Wang Manyin.

Now these people have returned from work and are concentrated in the cave. A militia armed with guns watched at the door. When the meal starts later, this person can lead these people to the big stove of migrant workers... Sun Shaoping, carrying the bed and the pot of rice, stepped down from Tianjialai's highway, carefully stepped on the pillars, crossed the Dongla River, crossed the temple flat, came over the bridge of the Crying Yan River, and went straight to the yard of the primary school. He knows this place too well because he has studied here for five years.

When he entered the school yard, the man with the gun came up to him, and somehow he was still laughing. Shaoping took a close look in the moonlight and found that this man was the brother of one of his classmates in junior high school. The classmate was from Xiashan village, and later did not go to high school. When they were in junior high school, one year they went to Xiashan village to study farming. They lived in their home and knew their family very well.

The classmate and his brother laughed embarrassingly and said, "I'm worried that your brother-in-law hasn't covered it tonight!"

Shaoping had no intention of staying here more. He said to his classmate and brother, "Can you ask my brother-in-law to come out? Let me give him these things." "Why not?" No capital offence!" His classmate, his brother, came to the door with a gun and shouted, "Wang Manyin comes out!"

When he came out of the door, he was surprised to see his brother-in-law. He straightened his waist and showed some shame on his face. Shaoping put the rolls and cans on the ground and said to his brother-in-law, "There's some grain in the blanket, so you can hand it over to the big stove..."

Wang Manyin, in spite of nothing, grabbed a black steamed bun in the bowl above the rice jar and bit it hard. He swallowed it almost without chewing and choked his neck wide.

After swallowing the meal, he asked Shaoping, "I don't know your sister and your cat's eggs and dog's eggs..."

"They are all in our house." Shao Ping looked at him in disgust.

"That's good... Go back and say to your sister, I'm all right! Tell her not to rush... He turned his head and looked at the later generations who had been far away from carrying guns, and quietly said to Shaoping, "Say to your sister that there are dozens of packages of rat poison left on the lid of the box at home, and tell your sister to hide it. You dare not ask the baby not to know what to eat, and ask her to..."

Shaoping has turned around angrily and left. He really wanted to slap his uncompromising brother-in-law in the face!

He went down the small slope of the school and walked along the weeping River to the cottage in Jinjiawan. He did not go home and was going to stay at Jinbo's house. There was no room at home. Every Saturday he came back and spent the night at Jinbo's house. It was warm and clean, and Jinbo's mother and sister regarded him as their own. Only here can he spend the most comfortable moment in his heavy life.

When Shaoping came near the Xiaoyan River Bridge, he saw a woman coming across the path between the Zao Forest and Miaoping. Before he could see who it was, he heard the man calling his name. When I heard the voice, I knew it was his second mother, He Fengying.

Shaoping does not respect this elder in his heart. When the woman with Shanxi accent came to his door, she drove her family out of their ancestral kiln. In the years to come, she read books for several days, did not pay attention to the family at all, often scolded his mother with dirty words, and pulled out the name of his long-dead grandfather. It was not until Shao An Ge grew up that, when she scolded his mother again, her brother beat her hard and bled her nose and mouth. Later, she stopped the wild abuse of their family. Later, when their brothers grew older, their elder brother became the production captain and became a man in the village. She and her second father became more timid. Two parents are poor and active. They are both responsible in the team. One is the branch committee of the brigade, the other is the woman director. They have a meeting in the middle of the night, and the three dolls are left alone at home. They are in a bad situation. Their second father often wears ragged clothes and thin clothes. He is hungry and often tells others about revolutionary principles. No one in the village would laugh at them behind their back.

Now, the woman director has come over the bridge of the crying pharynx river. Shaoping sees her hair combed glossy, usually with a wooden comb dipped in her own foam. And she wore the old red silk jacket when she got married again; because the jacket was too short, the red edge of the cotton jacket appeared a circle underneath, which was very eye-catching. The two mothers'dress showed that she was going to appear in public again tonight. Sure enough, she stood up and said to Shaoping, "Tonight, the Command of Public Social Warfare is going to hold a critical meeting in the school yard. Are you not going to attend?" I was asked to lead the arrangement of the meeting. I just put the bowl down. Well, your brother-in-law... She sighed, expressing a kind of sympathy and regret, let Shaoping know that she is also her family after all. Shaoping said to her, "You're busy. I'm going to Jinbo's house."

He greeted his two mothers coldly and turned away.
