Some people believe that students should stay at school until the age of 18; others think that children can leave school at 14. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
It is true that most of students leave school until 18, which leaves those who quit around 14 years old with conflicting views. While I tend towards the view points that high school education is important, I would have to support some students leave school earlier than that considering the different but unique life journey for everyone.
On the one hand, high school diploma has been the fundamental pass for any job that a young kid could get. Without that, it's almost impossible to get a full time and decent position in a big company, as high school not only provides knowledge education, but also understanding and collaboration among people. Parents who are in favor of having their children at least finish high school value the education and strongly believe that it is the best way to prepare students for their future lives.
On the other hand, not every kid sees high school as necessary. Some kids are born with special talents, such as art, music or sports, but they are not interested in other classes at all. Even with staying up late to study, they still cannot pass a simple quiz like anyone else does. Instead of keeping them in school with embarrassment and lack of confidence, I believe the sooner they could focus on what they love, the better for their development.
In conclusion, it seems to me that it would be wrong to have every child stay at school until the age of 18 if some have shown their gift and decided to pursue it out of school around 14.
