Locate & describe the Wire Feed System
Wire Feed System Overview
Motorized spool Mount
-Holds and rotates the wire spool to provide the precise length of wire required for bonding.
Spool cover
Conceals the spool mount and the Diverter rod to prevent wire contamination and maintain wire quality
Air guide & Optical wire detector sensor
Detects the presence of the wire within the guide only when these is a demand for wire
Wire Tensioner
Guides and maintains tension on wire from air guide to bond head
Vacuum Wire Threading Button
To aid the operator to thread the wire through the tensioner
Wire Feed Circuit Board
Contain wire-Feed-related switches and indicators.
Bond Integrity Test System(BITS)circuity used to detect non-stick bonds at the die or package lead during auto bonding
Note:
-wire is fed from the spool in the clockwise direction
-wire is routed to the left of the diverter rod
Spool cover
Fully enclosed wire spool cover with filtered,pressurized air helps prevent foreign material and out-gassing containants from reaching wire spool
Slip Ring Wire Spool
Major change: slip Ring set to replace contact spring.Dsigng provides more reliable electrical contact and longer life to improve BITS signal.

Wirefeed Sstemm Process
Air Guide
-Dual capstan design provides generous buffer for wire during high speed motions and results in consistent tension for looping.
-Removal of sharp radii eliminates wire damage and kinks.
-Vertical wire path, air flow perpendicular to wire, and a lowered air guide reduce wire whipping and wire sway.
Tensioner
-Additional exhaust hole and choke provide more adjustment resolution, better portability, and less drag on wire.
Motor Control
-Tighter control algorithm feeds wire more consistently and eliminates extra wire feeding.
