What Teachers Make
今天再读这本书的后面几章，深得我心呀。我也看到了自己对教师行业的误解。在成为一名老师之前，我觉得老师的工作很轻松，只要自己的英语知识过硬，我就可以拿来就教，但是正如Mali所说：
Teachers realise that seven hours of working in school requires an additional seven hours of work out of school prepping and grading: teachers burn out.
我在开始正式上班之后，一度很绝望，认为自己所有的时间都在备课和上课，还战战兢兢地做不好，身边的人呀，也都不是很理解，认为我有很多地空闲时间呀，Mali又说了：
Whenever I hear someone on television talk about how easy teachers have it, I want to put them in their own classroom for a year to see how they survive.
All the teachers I have known need at least one hour outside the classroom for every hour they spend in the classroom.
So the next time you hear someone talk about the paltry number of hours teachers put in every day, double it.
That may sound like a lot, but teachers need this time for meeting, planning, and preparation beforehand, and evaluation, grading, and counseling afterward.
