Yesterday, we talked about a topic related to homesick. We all has to leave home sometimes. So we wanna know what a person miss most when he/she is away from home.
As for Bernda, she thought the warmth from home was the thing she miss most. She felt secure when staying with her families because they tolerated her a lot. So she would sometimes play a joke with them, and it made the conversation more relaxing and the relationship between them more closer. But she didn't do it to many other people, since she didn't know whether the jokes would annoy other persons or not, which is why she had to be more cautious and felt a little nervous chatting with other people.
As for me, what I missed most when leaving home was the time I spent with my families. They were always relaxing, warm, and full of love and happiness. Here are some examples to share with you.
Almost every time when I came back home from school, my parents would take me to a hot pot restaurant to eat beef. We all loved eating beef very much, because it tasted so succulent and the beef balls were especially chewy and springy. We were always chatting while eating, and it made me relaxed and feel the warmth from my family. So I believed whenever I came back, there would always be my families waiting for me.
Sometimes, I would invite my mom or young brother one on one to have a talk. I talked about my recent daily life and some of the interesting persons that I met. But mostly, I was listening to what they had said, about their work, study or feelings of something. We trusted each other, shared not only the happiness but also the troubles bothering us. I enjoyed the time talking with them, and it brought us closer together.
So I believe to most of the people, home has been such a place full of warmth, love and security; of shared feelings, stories and memories, which is perhaps why during the holidays so many people return to where they grew up.
