1.line/queue  队伍

lineup/line-up 活动队伍，运动员阵容      queue up  排队

There is always a lineup.  （这地方）总有人排队

line up    当line和up中间有空格时，是做动词

People are lining up outside the restaurant.  人们在餐厅外面排队

要号召人们排队时可以用 line up/make a line/form a line

a huge line 

如果队伍很长时，可以这么形容 a huge line/a long line/a massive line

遇到队伍不动时，The line is not moving.

cut in line 插队  butt in line/cut in line/jump the queue 

用butt in 和 cut in 时，习惯性不在line前面加the

The person just butt in line/cut in line/jumped the queue.那个人插队了。

此外cut in 还可以表示插入，cut into a conversation 介入别人的谈话

在交通上也可以使用这些词  cut into traffic  涌入车流

A car just cut me off  一辆车变道冲到我面前

There's a line of cars  有一排车在那儿

line starts here 

要提醒别人排队时 There is a line. 这儿在排队呢

We are all waiting in line. 我们都在排队等候
