Autumn Evening in the Mountains

'Twas quiet in the mountains after the rain

The air was crisp when the sun withdrew

Through the pine trees the moonlight shone so bright

The stream was crystal-clear and over the stone it flew.

The bamboo grove was awaken by the girls returning from laundry,

Water Lilies wove about as the fishing boat glided through.

Let spring leave and flowers wither

I will stay despite no more blooms in view.
