英语词汇构词法（Word Formation）——转类法之其他词

The intellectuals are muched again.

  知识分子又多了起来。

  We downed a few beers.

  我们干了几杯酒。

  The students tut-tut the idea. She will off and do her own thing.

  学生们对这个主意啧啧有声。她要离开去做自己的事情。

  But me no buts.

不要跟我但是但是的。

  有时候，转类产生了单词发音、拼写和重音的某些变化。主要变化有：

  ①清辅音变为浊辅音

  house/-s/                                      house/-z/

  use/-s/                                          use/-z/

  mouth/θ/                                        mouth/ð/

  shelf/-f/                                          shelf/-v/

  sheath/θ/                                        sheathe/ð/

②词的重音迁至词尾

  这种重音位移通常出现在双音节词中，用作名词时，重音在第一个音节上，用作动词时，重音移至第n个音节上。例如：'conduct(n)-con'duct(v),'extract(n)-ex'tract(v), 'permit(n)-per'mit(v)等。有时也偶尔发生较大的发音变化，如：breath/e/-breathe/i：/, bath/a:/-bathe/ei/, food-feed,blood-bleed。
