Actually, I am not sure how much progress I got when I read original works. But, what I sure is that I can read faster than before. Even only 3 books I have read, progress is true. HOTEL has many new words, I can’t remember all of them. The most important issue I am going to deal with is how to use the new things. I can’t remember it well, so can’t use it well. Review frequently is a good solution.
Local in New Orleans, there is a hotel, was named ST. Gregory. HOTEL shows the challenge and hotel business which ST. Gregory was meeting. Novel telling way give readers some new sense. It is not show us by a long term, but concentrated some different class people’s stories in a week. They are hotel managers, the duke and duchess, young rich girl, sick rich investor, hotel thief, and a merchant who want to acquiring St.Gregory and rebuilt it as hotel chain. All of them live in St. Gregory, that’s the most interesting thing.
As most of girls, the romantic plot always attracted to me, romance between Peter McDermott and Christine Francis is such subtle, for they were colleague, both of them work in St.Gregory. Love will come in time, that words describe this relationship well. Nevertheless, the way of love always bumpy. Another little girl Marsha loved Peter, the middle-aged men always attractive. I felt a little anger about Peter when he attend Marsha’s invitation. THAT IS MEN. How could they give a girl huge while he loving another one? Arthur Hailey, our author, is so kind to give us a happy ending, Peter and Chris get together because Marsha has psychiatric disorders!!! It’s so funny!!! And I bet that if Marsha were normal person the romance would be continued.
The two persons fall in love with each other step by step:
He draped his arm along the back of the driver’s seat, not quite touching Christine’s shoulder.
She found herself wondering what it would be like to be carried in his arms.
I like following words so much, and post it in my Wechat moment:
You never know how much you share with someone until the sharing ends. So you and your young man grab on to every minute there is. Don’t waste a lot of time, you never get it back.
你无法知道,你们之间能够共度多少时光,直到那一天到来。所以,你们要学会把握在一起的每分每秒。珍惜岁月,时不再来。
Maybe it’s that some people raise a great big barrier, all the while wishing you’d tear it down, and if you don’t you never really know them.
有些人筑起高高的心墙,一直在期待你能够推倒它,如果没能做到,就永远无法深切地理解他。

1.I could cry.
2.Middle-aged, well-dressed women
3.The respect is another empty gesture.
4.For years you’ve been trying to get a foot in the hotel business.
