“For Christ did not send me to baptize but to proclaim the gospel, and not with eloquent wisdom, so that the cross of Christ might not be emptied of its power.” 1Corinthians1:17
Paul claimed that God’s calling is to preach the gospel. However, we must know what meaning the gospel Paul mentioned is? The gospel is Jesus Christ salvation’s truth. We often put sanctification as our final purpose. However, Paul used his personal experience as a sample, but this is not in result. God never bade us to proclaim the salvation and sanctification, but he asked us to lift up Jesus Christ.
“And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” John12:32
If we say that Jesus Christ suffered in the redemption, in this way, we can be become a saint. The thoughts will bend the Holy Bible. Jesus suffered in the redemption, but his purpose is to save all people of the world. God makes us to re-live perfectly before the Lord’s throne. We can experience the redemption, which enough to prove the God’s great energy. This is not the final purpose, but only this is a derived result. If God is a person, for our praying of salvation and sanctification, God will feel perturbed and boredom. We always pray for our own requirements every day, which take God’s lots of energy. So long as we can tough the gospel real meaning, we will not bother God due to some trivial things.
Paul’s only dream was that he could preach the gospel. He never went back when he faced pain, misunderstanding and persecution. The only reason is that these things made him own unmoved devotion for the gospel.
