你的工资是你最好的几个朋友的中位数/资源对等。。。很多广为流传的成功学书也都讲了同样的意思。但是其实我开始意识到这个道理的是高中分班的事,我们学校分实验班(2个)和普通班(9个),而我一分之差没进去,当时也没让父母找关系,傻傻地以为只要自己努力就好。事实是重点班地最低分也是一本线,而我们普通班地前几名才是一本线,当然普通班也有一个一鸣惊人考到清华的。一方面是幸存者偏差,一方面也是他自己的努力。不可否认,我考的不好很大部分源于自己不努力。但是这其中surrounding people 的影响能占到多少呢?

I have so many reflections about this paragraph since I don't want to say anything now. My parents, born in 1970's, consider their kids as their whole world. They bring me up and give the best they can to me at the cost of their time, health, and life quality. It is my best luck while it is their worst luck.
