Mom and Dad talked quietly about grown-up things I didn't care about.
This sentence said by a young kid but it's a reminder for me.
Do we stand at some "upper" point to give others our opinions or suggestions which they don't care about?
A diverse company has a better chance to survive in the competitive environment. This judgement has been proven by some organizations. Could one possible reason be that different person seeing things in different perspectives helps the group have a complex understanding of the same thing?
HOW TO TALK?
A: What did you tell him about me?
M: How funny you are, and how kind and smart. When I told him you read Dragon Rider when you were six, he was like, "Wow, I have to meet this kid."
A: Did you tell me anything else?
Mom smiled at me. Her smile kind of hugged me.
M: I told him about all your surgeries, and how brave you are.
A: So he knows what I look like?
If you were the mother, how would you talk to your kid? I really like the way August's mother talks to him. It's a tough thing to face but I think she's done quite well.
Okey, so is he the kind of kid who's one way in front of grown-ups and another way in front of kids?
I'm the kind of person who's one way in front of familiar friends and another way in front of strangers.
