- olden

往昔，从前。英文解释为：in (the) olden days also in olden times, a long time ago。

People didn't travel so much in the olden days.

从前的人可不这么频繁地旅行。

- rooster

公鸡，英式英语中多用cock。

- recorder

竖笛。

- tiptoe

脚尖，英文解释为：if you stand or walk on tiptoe, you stand or walk on your toes, in order to make yourself taller or in order to walk very quietly。

She stood on tiptoe to kiss him.

她踮起脚来吻他。

拓展：

tiptoe可以作动词，有一个短语叫 tiptoe around (sth)，意思是避而不谈（困难或尴尬的话题或问题），英文解释为：to try to avoid dealing with a difficult or embarrassing subject or problem。

They were tiptoeing around the delicate subject of money. 

他们对钱这一敏感话题避而不谈。

- bouncy ball

bouncy可以表示有弹性的，如果形容人，表示（人）生气勃勃的，精神饱满的，充满活力的。

- clever clogs

自以为聪明的人，英文解释为：used to describe someone who is annoying because they are always right or always think they are right.

- strap

带子，皮带，布带。

Nancy gripped the strap of her beach bag...

南希抓住了自己沙滩包的带子。
