When the voices of children are heard on

the green

And laughing is heard on the hill,

My heart is at rest within my breast

And every thing else is still

Then come home my children, the sun is

gone down

And the dews of night arise

Come come leave off play, and let us away

Till the morning appears in the skies

No no let us play, for it is yet day

And we cannot go to sleep

Besides in the sky, the little birds fly

And the hills are all cover’d with sheep

Well well go & play till the light fades away

And then go home to bed

The little ones leaped & shouted & laugh’d

And all the hills ecchoed

孩童之声，洒落青草

朗朗欢笑，飘散山丘

我胸坦然，我心安然

除却童音，万物静休

孩子们啊，跟我回家

太阳已落，夜露已生

停下游戏，我们离去

明早天亮，再来尽兴

不嘛不嘛，还要玩会

天还没黑，睡不着觉

你看天上，小鸟飞翔

满坡绵羊，还在吃草

好吧好吧，再去玩会

天黑透了，回家上床

一群孩子，雀跃欢呼

喊声笑声，山谷回响

耳闻童声绿野上，

欢声笑语漫山岗;

心情安定了于胸，

其余万物均安详。

夕阳西下炊烟上，

露水悄悄上篱墙;

游戏暂罢是当归，

待到晨光又朗朗。

儿童贪玩话天光，

乾坤坦荡鸟飞翔;

羊群依旧满山坡，

何当共枕入梦乡。

任伊戏至无霞光，

方需返家入寝房;

欢呼雀跃孩儿笑，

群山回响乐无疆。
