<< Genesis 4:1-17 >> 

[<1> And Adam knew his wife; and she conceived, and bore Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.

<2>And she again bares his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

<3> And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.

 <4> And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof (the difference is that Abel gave the very best from his heart to God), And the Lord had respect unto Abel and his offering:

 <5> But unto Cain and his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.]

1 有一日，那人和他妻子夏娃同房，夏娃就怀孕，生了该隐（就是“得”的意思），便说：“耶和华使我得了一个男子。”

2 又生了该隐的兄弟亚伯。亚伯是牧羊的；该隐是种地的。

3 有一日，该隐拿地里的出产为供物献给耶和华；

4 亚伯也将他羊群中头生的和羊的脂油献上。(不同之处在于，亚伯把心中最好的献给神。) 耶和华看中了亚伯和他的供物，

5 只是看不中该隐和他的供物。该隐就大大地发怒，变了脸色。

God rejected Cain's offering, not because of the quality of his offering, but because of the character with which it was offered. Abel gave the firstlings of his flock, but Cain did not give the best from his heart.

神弃绝该隐的供物，不是因为他的供物的质量，而是因为他所献的性情。亚伯献上他羊群中头生的，该隐却没有献上心里最好的。

[<6>And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? And why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? 

<7> And if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

<8> And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

<9> And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?]

9 耶和华对该隐说：“你兄弟亚伯在哪里？”他说：“我不知道！我岂是看守我兄弟的吗？”

Yes, we are our brother's keepers according to the Biblical law! Jesus said it himself:

<13> And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear. <14> Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

<15> And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him seven fold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. 

<16> And Cain went out from the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.]

10 耶和华说：“你做了什么事呢？你兄弟的血有声音从地里向我哀告。

11 地开了口，从你手里接受你兄弟的血。现在你必从这地受咒诅。

12 你种地，地不再给你效力；你必流离飘荡在地上。”

13 该隐对耶和华说：“我的刑罚太重，过于我所能当的。

14 你如今赶逐我离开这地，以致不见你面；我必流离飘荡在地上，凡遇见我的必杀我。”

15 耶和华对他说：“凡杀该隐的，必遭报七倍。”耶和华就给该隐立一个记号，免得人遇见他就杀他。

16 于是该隐离开耶和华的面，去住在伊甸东边挪得之地。

To teach us not to use violence as a way to resolve conflicts, the Lord allowed Cain to live.

为了教导我们不要使用暴力来解决冲突，上帝允许该隐活着。

<< Matthew 26:52 >> [Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.]

The sons of God refer to the fallen angels that have come down to have relationships and marriages with the women of the earth. This act was in violation of the commandments of God.

神的儿子们是指那些堕落的天使，他们下来与地上的女人建立关系和婚姻。这一行为违反了上帝的诫令。

 [<1>And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 

创世记 6:1 当人在世上多起来、又生女儿的时候，

<2> That the sons of God (referring to the descendants of Seth) saw the daughters of men (the other people) that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

创世记 6:2 神的儿子们(指的是塞特的子孙)看见人(另外的人）的女子美貌，就随意挑选，娶来为妻。

  <3> And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred twenty years. 

创世记 6:3  耶和华说：“人既属乎血气，我的灵就不永远住在他里面；然而他的日子还可到一百二十年。”

<4> There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.]

创世记 6:4 那时候有伟人在地上，后来　神的儿子们和人的女子们交合生子；那就是上古英武有名的人。

[<5>And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 

创世记 6:5 耶和华见人在地上罪恶很大，终日所思想的尽都是恶，

<6> And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

创世记 6:6 耶和华就后悔造人在地上，心中忧伤。

 <7> And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I had created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. 

创世记 6:7 耶和华说：“我要将所造的人和走兽，并昆虫，以及空中的飞鸟，都从地上除灭，因为我造他们后悔了。”

<8> But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.]

创世记 6:8 惟有挪亚在耶和华眼前蒙恩。
