Normally， I treat every task as an process to build a lego model with a lot of standard elements such as: People, time, resources:
Firstly, I will review the task theme to make clear the aim of the task and the expected deliverable result. (That answers the questions of Why and what)
Secondly, I will think through who will be the relevant in this task, the sponsor, the owner, the supporters and the other players. (That answers the question of Who.)
Thirdly, I will break down the whole process of conducting the mission into the most simple actions with timeline for each action.
Finally, I will assign the actions to all the members to conduct the mission with the responsibility definition and timeline.
Before I send out the assignment, I will give all the brief introduction of above information and to see whether they have any question. If no, the team member will move forward in a very efficient way. Otherwise, I will answer all the question and adjust the plan until all of the team member get align with the plan. Then move forward.
During the process, I will occasionally have communication with team members to see whether they are in smooth progress and provide support if needed in case the result submitted on the deadline didn't meet the request.
