Some commonly used British slangs
American slangs tends to more widely recognised thanks in due to media, and of course movies. British slang does however have a charm of its own and is constantly evolving.

Bloke
Bloke in general is used to describe a 'man', its almost in comparison to the american to usage of an ‘average joe’.
It can be used ‘I saw a bloke walking down the road'.

Brilliant
While this word isn't exclusively used in Britain. It is commonly used especially when there is some good news. Its usage is probably similarly to americans use of 'Awesome'

Bugger all
This is a bit on the rude side. It's commonly used to mean 'nothing at all'. When you have not done anything worth talking about.
Example. 'I have been inside all day and done bugger all mate'

Cheers
While it can be used for toasting with drinks during celebrations. However, outside of this setting. It is also commonly used to mean 'Thanks' or 'Thank you'.

One of the most commonly used words of endearment is actually used when talking to friends. It basically just means 'friend' and is in comparison to the american usage of 'buddy', 'pal' .
Example. 'Cheers mate'.

While slightly vulgar, this british slang is used in reference to a large failure of epic proportions.
Example. 'There has been a right cock up. Emails were sent to the wrong customers'.

Dodgy
This British slang refers to something suspicious, perhaps illegal or just plain wrong in some way.
Example. 'I had a dodgy burger yesterday. I don't feel good'

It's a slang that means to be disapointed. To be gutted is to be devasted or saddened by something.

This is usually used to describe someone who is lucky, without having to put any effort into it.
Example. 'He just keeps on winning. He is proper jammy'

This has different usages, depending on the context. It can be used to denote an appropriate action or used as an amplifier. For example an alternative to 'very' , or ' extremely'.
Example. 'Don't do that. That's not the proper way to behave'

The word piss can be used in many different ways and have different meanings. However the term, 'taking the piss'. This generally is, to make fun out or, or mock something or someone, to be sarcastic towards.
