My thatched cottage is girdled by winding streams,
Where rainbow clouds are born from ivy screen, it seems
The refreshing rain sees bamboos awake from dreams.
Mountains look lovelier in departing sunbeams.
The egrets often early go to roost at leisure,
And autumn flowers falling late would feel more pleasure.
I have told my houseboy to sweep clean the pathway.
To welcome you whom I invited yesterday.
