今天不知道要写点啥，就把今天英语老师催的口语考试的稿子给放上来吧，见谅，我也不知道写的怎么样，可能还会被英语老师退回来吧，但无所谓啦，会英语的可以看一看呀。
It is difficult to define people in China. There is an interesting statement that Chinese people are frank yet tactful, honest yet gullible, unscrupulous yet loyal, advocate etiquette yet often appear unmannered, stand for the golden mean yet are extreme, value the quality of being thrifty yet like to parade our wealth, maintain traditions when convenient yet love to chase modern fashion, believe contentment being happiness yet often daydream about being overnight millionaires, believe the word of the fortune teller yet lack affiliation to any religion.
I think the most ideal living condition for most Chinese people is to be moderate and achieve personal goals. The moderate, in the other words, maybe we can say the Doctrine of the Mean of Golden. This concept involves balancing one’s position among a group to maintain conformity and a sense of harmony. We never openly criticize, ignore or make fun of a person in front of others, even jokingly. For example, maybe when a teacher discussing individual performance, they always emphasize good points before bad ones.
I think I can use one word to describe Chinese people during the course of a few months, united. I know it's been a tough time for every Chinese in the recent months because of the epidemic of novel coronavirus. Medical staff from all over the country went to Hubei and Wuhan for support. People all over the country followed the government's instructions to stay at home, even during the Spring Festival, the most important festival in China. Everyone from all over the country wanted to contribute, Some volunteered, some donated money, some helped to buy materials needed to fight the epidemic. This epidemic, I saw the unity of the Chinese people. It's not unity on paper, it's real unity. When the epidemic broke out in other countries one after another, when I saw how other governments and people responded to the epidemic, I felt very proud that I was Chinese, and I was very happy in China. Because when our compatriots are in trouble, we will spare no effort to help them. That’s awesome. I don't think there is any country in the world where people can be as united as the Chinese.
