【侃侃单词】词根词缀记单词-ced/ceed/cess

词根ced、ceed、cess是同源异形根，来源于拉丁词汇，意为to go （走），与之相关的单词相对都比较好理解，我们来看。

antecedent

ante-=before在…之前，ced=to go，-ent是形容词后缀，走在…之前的→先行的，先前的。

antecessor

ante-=before前，cess=to go,-or表人，走在前面的人→先行者，先驱者，祖先。

proceed

pro-=forward向前，go forward向前走→前进，进行；继续。

process

向前走的过程→过程，进程。

succeed

suc-=from under自下而上，ceed=to go，to go from under to a higher position，上行到较高的位置→继承，接替；成功，成就。

success n.成功，成就

accede

ac表加强，to go to an office，走马上任，加强走，走到一个地方→就职、加入、同意。

access

ac同样表加强，走到某处→接近，进入。

accessible a.可进去的，易于接近的

exceed

ex-=out外，走出界外→超出。

excess n.过分，过剩

excessive a.过多的，过分的

precede

pre-=before 前，走在前面→领先，在…之前。

The Han Dynasty preceded the Tang Dynasty.汉朝在唐朝之前。

precedent a.优先的

recede

re-=backward向后，向后走→后退；减弱。

recession n.后退

recessive a.后退的，隐居的

secede

se-=apart分离，go apart（ from membership of an organization）→脱离，退出。

He seceded  from the Liberal Party. 他退出了自由党。

secession n.脱离，退出

concede

con=completely完全地，完全地走开、离开对手→让步。

concession n.让步

intercede

inter-=between在…之间，在两者之间跑来跑去→说情，从中调停。
