Good morning from sunny South Florida!
I just had another my favorite breakfast this morning. It’s what I usually do, salad, whole wheat bread, almond milk, sausages, and coffee. I don’t use salad dressing, instead, I put some olive oil and balsamic vinegar in it.
It’s a common knowledge that your fitness depends on three components, eat, exercise, and rest. And the percentages of these three components are 70%, 20%, and 10%. Pretty amazing, isn’t it? It means the most effective way to maintain and improve your health depends on what you eat!
Now what food should you eat? According to the latest research, I believe food richly contains sugar and saturated fat should be avoid if possible, in addition to anything that contains harmful ingredients.
I have read or listened to many audio books regarding to food, medicines and fitness. I would like to recommend a few of my favorite books here: "Grain Brain" and "Brain Maker" by Dr. David Perlmutter, "The Omnivore's Dilemma" and "In Defense of Food" by Dr. Michael Pollan, and "The Zone: A Revolutionary Life Plan to Put Your Body in Total Balance for Permanent Weight Loss" by Dr. Barry Sears and Bill Lawren. To make it simple, one should avoid eating too much carbohydrate. These food include any wheat and rice. The alternatives are vegetables, eggs, lean meat, and plant based protein and plant based fat.
I will discuss these in later articles. Now for today, I have punched in for my daily update. Cheers!
