Regarding the differing social backgrounds of the Confucianists and Mohists, they held opposite views on the existence of a personal God. Dramatically, the attacking on the predetermined fate by Mo Tzu was really irrelevant to Ming talked by the Confucianists. Ming means something beyond human control, and remaining other things within human control by exerting himself.
