直到有一天，我被问到成都有多少人，有多大，主要的经济支撑是什么，历史怎样，交通如何，我才发现自己应该想想如何向老外介绍成都，于是……
Chengdu is an inland city which locates in southwest of China. The urban civilization history of Chengdu is more than 4500 years and its most prosperous period was in Tang Dynasty. In Tang Dynasty, several most famous poets at that time wrote many poems to praise the prosperity of Chengdu.
In China, Chengdu is called the land of abundance. The main contributor is Dujiangyan Irrigation System which was build more than 2300 years ago. This irrigation system is the earliest water conservancy project in the world which still works today. It guarantees the good harvest of Chengdu with regardless of the weather condition.
Since Chengdu is blessed with unique endowments by its superior natural geographical location, it must be a city with a large population and with a culture of open, inclusive and creative. And also for the abundance of food, the people live Chengdu created various processing on their harvest. So, Chengdu is a city of gastronomy, is a city of delicious wine, is also a city with natural beauty and a city full of beauties. It’s the best tourist city in China. The panda, you know, they come from Chengdu.
The land area of Chengdu is more than 12 thousands of square kilometers and the population is more than 16 millions. It’s the No. 3 consular city in China and the third city in China which owns two international airports. The main sources of the economy of Chengdu are IT, health and tourism.
Chengdu is a modern city immersed in tradition. In Chengdu, you can taste a cup of green tea in one of more than 10 thousands of tea houses. You can read a book in one of more than 1000 bookstores. You can eat various delicious food with a cup of good wine. You can talk to anyone on the street who you don’t know before. Yes, it’s Chengdu, once you come, you will never want to leave.
