She talked about "Postage Service".

When she rent the apartment first day, the property management staff told her they have postage service. That's a good news for her, she was not familiar with local post office. About two months later, she wanted to send some postcards to friends who were in USA. She prepared all things and find the property staff, but their answer upset her...They only can help her deliver and receive letters...About envelopes, stamps, they need to go to the post office and buy by themselves.
When she described this, she looked like going to mad. But I felt it's so normal and common in China. After I was born, when I have remember , postage service never provide stamps in my all life. She felt disappoint, due to " postage service " is same words in English, but it is different meaning in China. If she could understand and accept the difference, she would't be tortured by cognition.
Here the key is, even though you can speak excellent Chinese, it doesn't mean you can do all communication as good as you think. Like " postage service " we all know what's the meaning of it, but do you realize that it maybe not same in different countries? Too many examples like this case.
If you can't change the current status, there are two choices:
1\ Leave.
2\ Accept.
Don't ask yourself why it's not same with USA, try to learn it like a new born baby. Good luck!
