道德经第13章  修身

此章阐述的是修身之道。一个人要成就一番事业必然是以修身为本。只有自己的德行能力够了，修为深厚了才能齐家，治国，平天下。只有修为深厚，能力提升才能行事经其时间磨炼而不磨灭。没有修为就去行事就会把造孽当事业干。 

正文：

宠辱若惊，贵大患若身。何谓宠辱若惊？宠为上，辱为下。得之若惊，失之若惊，是谓宠辱若惊。何谓贵大患若身？吾所以有大患者，为吾有身，及吾无身，吾有何患？故贵以身为天下，若可寄天下；爱以身为天下，若可托天下。

英译文：

To be terrified by honors and disgrace, and to avoid disaster creeping upon you as protecting your health. What does it mean by “to be terrified by honors and disgrace”? Honor raises you up; disgrace knocks you down. You are amazed to gain it and frightened to lose it. That means “to be terrified by honors and disgrace”. What does it mean by “to avoid disaster creeping upon you as protecting your health”? I fear the strike of disaster when I regard my body as part of myself. If I abandon the notion of body as self, how could fear reign over me? Therefore, value the world as yourself, and the world will be entrusted on you. Love the world as yourself, and the world will be given to you.

解析：国之本在家，家之本在身。格物，致知，诚意，正心，修身，齐家，治国平天下。修之于身，其德乃真；齐之于家，家和万事兴；无为治于国，国泰民安；安平于天下，万世之太平。至天子以至于庶人皆是以爱天下如同爱自身才是长生之道。
