“Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, begging to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” ---Matthew14:29-30
Though the wind was strong and waves were high, Peter didn’t see them. He was not afraid of the waves, for he knew the Lord with all his heart and walked on the water because of the Lord. After that, he found the reality and sank. Why did the Lord not cause him to walk on the bottom of the waters as on the surface of the waters? Neither can do without knowing the Lord Jesus.
At some point, we will resolutely trust in God, then appease ourselves, and then sink down. So as long as we recognize the Lord, we don’t have to ask him to deal with the environment. The reality is what it is. Once we look at it, we are ruled by it. The result is that we can’t see Jesus. God will rebuke us and say, “why did you doubt?” No matter what the circumstances are, know Jesus and maintain complete trust in Him.
Once God’s word comes out, if we hesitate for a moment, it’s over. Don’t say, “well, did he?” It is time to put all our eggs in one basket and throw everything at him. We don’t know when he’s going to talk, but If we know him at all, we should throw in his hat. Only by abandoning everything can we recognize him. When we’re desperate, it is clearer for us to recognize God’s voice.
Dear God, Please, on this day, let the ego making us weak in your service disappear forever, so that we will know only Jesus.
No need to plan, let’s go!
