1943年春间事，1945年追忆作。
其一
春城晓雾浴红楼，花影离迷梦里浮。
倚遍栏干千万曲，水精帘卷对梳头。
其二
簪花小字写春晴，红袖香浮玉案清。
吟到关雎同一笑，鸳鸯镜里两书生。
其三
红豆和愁手自栽，东风定许一枝开。
如何钿合同心句，来赠温家玉镜台。
其四
别难相忘见难期，肠断江南三月时。
只有花间双蛱蝶，春风飞上去年枝。

Preface
This was a recollection in 1945 of my experience in spring, 1943.

In morning mist bathed the red mansion.
Your dreams were full of flowers of all fashion.
You waited to see me, leaning on veranda,
Combing hair under rolled-up crystal curtain.

You wrote about spring in slender calligraphy.
I smelled sweet scent from your red sleeve.
We smiled while reading an ancient love story.
In the mirror we looked scholarly and happy.

Love and woe, seeds we sewed.
Spring allowed only one to grow.
How I wished to promise you
A token of love down the road.

Hard to forget, hard to meet,
Bleeding was my heart in spring.
Butterfly lovers danced in the wind,
Flying up to last year’s tree.
